Hi All!
Looking for anyone who has applied SQL 2000 sp4 Hot fix 2187 to servers that have AWE enabled. According to MS - this is the HF to apply if you are experiencing Error: 17805, Severity: 20, State: 3 Invalid buffer received from client. So far this hasn't worked.
I have checked 'other sites' but I am looking to my friends here for help as well. Some of the 'other' articles/advice lend itself to CODE issues, but before I go down that path, I need to ensure everything else is correctly addressed.
Any and all ideas are welcomed!

We have some SQL 2000 SP4 servers with AWE enabled, and have applied 2187 to them. Although its application wasn't due to your issue, we have ben running fine.

Thanks Kevin - and for the most part this Hot Fix is working on other servers (we have several) but a couple of them are causing issue. For example, one of the servers which house our Analysis Service data bases and another one which I recently applied the Hot fix. I admit I followed the screen directions and did not restart the services afterward
Do you think perhaps I should have?

I applied SP4 with the latest hot fix 8.00.2187 for over dozen SQL Server. All of them work fine.
