We have a multi instance cluster and want to move the system databases to a different disk for one of the instances. I was following the instructions of MS KB article 224071 to change the start up parameters and I did it incorrectly. Instead of adding the -c -m -T3608 to the beginning of the parameters, I replaced the existing parameters with those values and now I can't start SQL Server or the SQL Server Configuration Manager. How can I get the correct start up parameters back? Do we have to edit the Registry, if so what setting needs to change?
Thanks,
Wendy

We have been able to fix the start up parameters by editing the registry and removing and adding back the cluster checkpoint as indicated in this KB article.
