help - Reporting Services, Visual Studio .net, seperate boxes?

    Hey y'all,

    I'm evaluating Reporting Services for a project, and a bit under the gun.

    Questions I haven't found firm answers to yet are:

    Can you install the visual studio .net components on a seperate computer than the SQL Server?  So you don't run the dev tool on the SQL server.

    Can you use a seperate IIS server on a seperate computer than the SQL Server?  I don't think you can do this one.  But am eager to be proved wrong.

    Yes I have Visual Studio on my workstation, and pointing to a different sql server.

    Can you use a seperate IIS server on a seperate computer than the SQL Server?  I don't think you can do this one.  But am eager to be proved wrong.

    Yes, however you may have some install errors. To install it I personally had to add Domain Computers to the SQL security for the installation.
