Help on upgrade - Is it a 32 bit or 64 bit ss first of all

    Hi,

    I'm looking to upgrade a customers ss from 2005 to ss 2008 r2 and am unsure if they have a 32 bit or 64 bit 2005 version installed. The o/s is 64 bit. How can I check?

    The reason for asking is I believe you can't upgrade from a 32 bit to a 64 bit version of ss.

    Ah, simply google sorted that out - SELECT @@VERSION.
