Hi,
I am modifying the package with BIDS 2005 .
There is one package which uses Execute DTS 2000 package task editor . In this task they have made the STorage Location as Embedded in Task . Below that under Package section they have given the package name when I look for the package name in my database under the Management\Legacy\Data Transformation services I could not find the package . But when I click the ... [Ellipsis] button in the Execute DTS 2000 package task editor under the package section I am able to see the DTS package . But this DTS package is not present in the DB .
Not sure where to check for the package . What does Embeeded in Task [ storage location ] do ,where does it store the package and how can i take & view the package . They seems to execute the 2000 DTS package in this task .
Please help me . I need to understand this to change the package .

You can take "Embedded in Task" quite literaly.
The DTS task is embedded in the task, in other words, it is embedded in the .dtsx file (which is just XML).
If you change the storage mode to SQL Server or File, can you save the package externally?
