IMHO I have a job and unless I am willing to bite the hand that feeds me and am willing to be OUT OF WORK I would not do it...
If you want to look for another job and based on your experience and that is the going rate for your country then do it. Please note however that your employer probably may be monitoring the various job sites and there may be unforeseen consequences if they catch your resume on-line...
Good Hunting!

I would be very careful. If you want to look for another job with another company that is fine. If you think you can goto your boss and demand a huge pay raise be very careful. I heard of a working associate that went to his boss and said I have found a job with another company that will pay me 25% more, unless you match it I will walk... They said fine, goodbye... problem was that he really thought they would just give him more money and he really did not want to move 2,000 miles for this new job... he was forced to.
So, the moral of the story is be very carefull of what you do.

You haven't given enough information to know if the pay is reasonable or not. What location are you? Are you talking US Dollars?
Much depends upon your location. What is the cost of living for your area? Some countries have a much higher cost of living (like Japan). Some areas of the United States have a higher cost of living (and thus pay larger wages) like Wahington D.C., New York City, San Francisco, etc.
From my perspective in the Mid West, if you make more than $100,000 / year you are making a reasonable wage (and glad that you have a job).
