Long story short...small shop with a DBA and SQL Developer. DBA quits, which leaves me the newly appointed DBA.
I was hoping for a few essential scripts/tips/links that may/will be handy.
The system as a whole is fairly stable...but I have never been put in the DBA role before and would appreciate any help.
Thanks guys!!

Don't assume it's stable and everything is good.

Backups. Make sure everything is backed up. And that's SQL Server backups, not file backups. Biggest error for people starting out is not getting good backups in place.
