Hi guys,
I have a machine ,which has SQL SERVER 2000.I tried to install SQL SERVER 2008 on the same machine(with new Instance name),but the installation failed.I uninstalled whatever had been installed, and when I tried to connect to old SQL SERVER 2000(I faced with connection failure. It said Server does not exist). This connection failue happens, when I try to connect from out of that box.But on the box itself, there is not any problem, and I can easly connect to the Databases in SQL SERVER 2000.Is this something related to MDAC?I checked the version of MDAC in that machine and it was 2.8 SP2.I have check all the protocols, firewalls and ports and network setting everything looks good and the problem started when I uninstalled SQL SERVER 2008

Are you using SQL or Windows authentication to connect database from other client? Is this in production.

Can you check SQL error logs and see any TCP\IP related error messages and post here?

No as I said ,Theere is not any problem with SQL SERVER nrework protocol
In SQL SERVER Log,I have "SQL server listening on TCP, Shared Memory, Named Pipes." and on the same place,it shows that SQL SERVER is listening to correct IP and port name
