Yup, no day off for me and my fellow employees either here on the West coast.

And those not in the US? We obviously don't exist 😉 Or our code will fail, queries never run, and the blooper reel won't load...

in Canada we had Family Day yesterday - Ontario, Alberta and Saskatchewan only - leaving only March or April, depending on Easter, June and November without a stat holiday - we're working on that. so, no code was compiled no queries were run and nobody stormed or stomped or yelled at anybody - at the office at least.
so, where is the link to the blooper reel?

Alas we have lots of state holidays. However businesses don't dare shut down because everyone expects to be able to buy stuff.

ya, because that's like, the most important thing to do in life, specially on holidays. banking on sundays, really? remember when if you didn't get to the bank by three o'clock on friday, in person, you just didn't have any $$$ to spend on the weekend?
