Grouping / not grouping in excel

  • A bizarre situation that, at the moment has me stumped.

    I have two RS 2005 reports, running on the same server, and as far as I can see are formatted the same in the report design as far as grouping is concerned. When they are exported to excel, one report is grouped in excel, the other is not.

    Does anyone know where I can control this functionality?

  • are they formatted exaclty the same? i have seen where reports that have more than one line per group will export flat and not grouped.
