Hi,
Does anyone have an idea why all the graphs and images I have in my reports
do not show? (instead, a small rectangle with and X is displayed).
On my machine it works great. I installed RS on another machine, and it doesn't work. Any ideas? Could it be because the second PC doesn't have Visual Studio? (I was told that I can install RS withoud Visual Studio, but then I can't use the report designer)?

This could be something to do with the security issues , did you check accessing the reports on your PC from the second PC, if it does not work, give PC webserver as trusted site in the other PC IE Settings and try it out.

Thanks for the reply,
you're probably right - it has something to do woth security because both the charts and the images are actually photos (i didn;t know RS turns charts into photos), and instead of the photos i get this red X.
So I'll try it out!
Thanks,

Please let me know if it works after you try it out.

Two things to check -
1. If the graphics are linked, make sure you deployed the graphics files to the reportserver.
2. Tools ~ Internet Options in IE, make sure that you've enabled options to display images.

Does anyone have a definitive solution to this problem. I've tried everything suggested in this thread and I'm not having any luck. I have about a week before I have to take my report live and I have to find a solution by then.
Thanks,
Frank

I found the answer to my problem. I have a special character ( _ ) underscore in my servers name. I changed it to the IP address and now my graphs and charts display. I found the reference at http://www.sqlmonster.com/Uwe/Forum.aspx/sql-server-reporting/3517/ which led me to the following site: http://www.sqlservercentral.com/forums/shwmessage.aspx?forumid=150&messageid=184355
Hope this helps someone down the road.
Frank
