Granting ShowPlan in PROD

    Would granting ShowPlan in PROD to bunch of users in PROD a good idea? Also, can someone have an article that points out why it's not a good idea? Thanks

    To a bunch of users? I'd say no, it is not a good idea. Do you really have a bunch of users that are capable of understanding execution plans? Furthermore, if you are interrested in hiding business logic from users, you should definitely not grant them showplan, as execution plans reveal quite a lot.
