GRANT EXECUTE ON JOBS

    Hi,

    Is there a way in SQL 2000 to GRANT EXECUTE on jobs for a non-system admin user without having to setup a proxy account? I have searched the web and can't find any leads.

    Do you mean you want a user to be able to execute a SQL Agent Job?

    No easy way I'm aware of. What I've done in the past is create a job that scans a table for a marker and then uses that to execute a job. Allow users to insert the marker into the table, and then run the job when they do.
