    I am not an expert in that so i couldnt even know what exactly the error says

    I think you have to set a default value for the CodePage property in the connection properties. I'm working with a connection to a DB2-AS/400 and I set the codepage to 280 (Italian). Try something similar.

    Unfortunately I set this option in the UDL file directly and I don't know exactly where to set it in SQL Server, maybe in the provider string field in the form property=value.
