got an Empty alert message when i try to start sql server 2005 Management Studio

    I installed SQL Server 2005 standard Edition on my local pc.

    I always get an Empty alert message (A message with OK button only) when i try to start sql server 2005 Management Studio. This alert/error arises before the "Connect to Server" window is oppened.

    I dont know why this is happening but i have not felt any other after i connect to the local server.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi,

    I too have seen this problem and the way I got around it was to reinstall SSMS and the service pack. I didn't have time to investigate why it may have happened.
