Goodbye from: mssqlserver@topica.com

  • What's up with this? Has anyone else mysteriously been unsubscribed from the message list? I suppose I can just sign up again

Makes me think about how easy it is to unsubscribe someone else from a message list

  • I tried subscribing and kept getting some sort of cookie error when I tried to confirm. I emailed the help address and got some useless spam back that essentially said "Screw you sucker! We are going to ignore that help request and make you read this three page email full of junk that doesn't apply to you. If that doesn't fix your problem then...." I sort of fell asleep about then. Don't they know that's what FAQs are for?

  • Hi spongemagnet and BrenBart,

    forget topica !!!!!!!

The lists are not hosted there any more.

    The list have moved to

    http://ls.sswug.org/cgi-bin/lyris.pl?site=sswug&page=topic&topic=sql_server&text_mode=0&lang=english

But I wonder, if you had been on the lists before, you were automatically moved from topica to sswug. It did happen some month ago.

    Cheers,

    Frank

  • Oops, and I forgot.

The one with the most traffic is SQL2k. The other ones are VERY low traffic lists

    Cheers,

    Frank

Weird. I guess either that change happened seamlessly, or there has been a community of squatters Like refugees, abandoned by our listmates.

didn't you get any mail about this. I think they discussed it before and announced it three or four times, that the list would move and subscribers will have nothing to do in addition

    Cheers,

    Frank
