Hey there! I recently took on a new position that entails more DBA type work, rather than development. (Although I am still developing on a day to day basis as well). Does anyone have any good recommendations on a book that goes in depth to administering and maintaining a SQL server? The company I currently work for has some major issues and am trying to find out what needs to be done to make everything run smoother. I recently stumbled upon the SSMS standard reports which looks amazing and very helpful. However, I am not 100% sure on what to look for or what some of the information on the reports is telling me, so I would prefer to have something that includes information on this as well.
Thanks for any input!!

The SQL internals books are generally very good. Particularly those by Kalen Delaney. Sadly the last one was SQL 2012, I think. I'd pick up a new one by someone else and the 2012 one by Delaney.
You should be able to Google enough info to get you thru the standard reports, including looking at the MS Docs themselves.
