You and Steve and Gail and Grant and the other Gurus should start a SQL Server Central Certification Committee to promote higher standards.

Being an MVP would be cool, but nothing beats basking in the warm glow of my own genuine and heartfelt self admiration. :satisfied:

Ya know.... someone was kidding about having a Phd certification for T-SQL Ninja's the other day... I don't see why there couldn't be several different SSC certification levels... I know that some of us would test for skill and ability to think rather than for just rote memorization of BOL.
Nah... not worth it... someone would find out where I lived and come crying to me because I failed him/her... I don't like unexpected company. 😛

Kind of a private person, aren't you, Jeff? 😉
If you were seriously considering the idea but for that little problem, you should know that there are ways to ensure anonymity. My wife just got her national board certification in special ed, and has no idea who the people were doing the grading.
I would like to have some credentials as a SQL developer, but I don't want to have to test out as a dba. I respect their skills but I don't WANT that job.
