Ghost job appears as failed daily

    Had a job that ran against a database from a master server .

    When the database was decommissioned the job was deleted from the master server and subsequently from the target server. But daily this job appears as failed from the target server .sysjobs on both the master and the target server have no records of this ghost job yet it appears on the application log of the target server daily as failed

    Any suggestions on where to look ?

    Got it .

    Some how the sysjobschedules sysjobsteps had entries of the job

    Those were deleted and we will see how it turns out

    Nope Job still appeared as failed

    Still looking any ideas ...
