I found the ability to work with an instance as a service to be quite refreshing. Over time more and more solutions will free themselves of the need for an actual machine...virtual or physical. Granted the instance as a service offering is limited today. It's just such a liberating experience to not have to deal with OS's and the underlying resources to get and instance provisioned.

Hi Steve,
I'm planning a new web application and am considering Azure as the platform. Having read this older article of yours, I'm hoping you have either more info on getting Azure life started or have some thoughts on trusted authors. I normally work as a Visual Studio/SQL Server/SSRS developer, my uncertainty of Azure buts against the marketing promises - this could be a good idea for my app or it could just add immeasurable headaches...
How to be smart moving forward? I ask you as one I trust - thanks in advance
