Getting "not part of a multiple family media set" error when setting up backups to poin to new network SAN

    Moving backups form internal to network SAN storage and I get one database backup out of a user set of 6 and these errors on all ... In addition our Comvault backup is now getting the following error :

    Error encountered during backup. Error: [ERROR: [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Time-out occurred while waiting for buffer latch type 4 for page (1:2515), database ID 4. [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Could not insert a backup or restore history/detail record in the msdb database. This may indicate a problem with the msdb database. The backup/restore operation was still successful. [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]BACKUP DATABASE successfully processed 297 pages in 0.095 seconds (25.610 MB/sec). [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]The statement has been terminated.]

    Any help at all will be greatly appreciated ...

    I've had a similar problem before when trying to restore a full backup with several successive logs, I had to restore the logs individually one by one to get it to work. It was a very slow process.
