No, I don't know that trick... I usually just copy/paste the whole thing directly and it works.

Sorry I was away. Like Mike mentioned once the people who gives pay-check wants me also to work. Now all answered.

Guys, grab a hold of SQL2K5, using Management Studio, set your options for the Query Results to Grid and Text options to be 'include column headings when copying from query results' so then when you copy|paste from query to excel, across come the column names as required. No code, no hassles
