A nifty little program. But far too much work to setup, for too few features. I would rather see a program like this with a web interface. Also the fact that it is limited to requests pertaining to SQL code doesn't do much for me. If we are going to go through the trouble of setting up an authorization chain, I would want the application to be able to handle authorization requests for everything in our company, then the request would be routed to the correct department.
The fewer applications people have to learn and use, the more productive they will be.
The free little converge utility is a much more usefull utility. Unfortunately it couldn't handle the database I was having it try and compare. It kept crashing on the name "IT", I don't know if it was a table, column, data... that was causing the issue. It would crash during the actual compare process when I pressed the compare button.
I tried it on a different database and it worked just fine. Unfortunately it then crashed the second time I clicked the show difference button.
Also it might be nice to be able to reverse the compared databases without restarting the application.
Overall, both applications need a significant amount of work. In my opinion it is not even worth applying for the free license. The RAAS application I could easily create a better web based version of in a day. The second, free, converge utility is a cool idea but still just in the beginning phases.
