I guess I never came back to let everyone know that the suggestions worked great! Using a temp table to add the columns gave us what we needed.

I'm trying to understand how it actually works with STUFF and CHARINDEX and REPLACE and all that. But it is excellent!

All I have to do is get this in DTS so it can be automated... Expect questions about this too.:-D

IF OBJECT_ID('tempdb..#names') IS NOT NULL
DROP TABLE #names
GO
