I want to create a Comprehensive Data Dictionary.
Is Erwin the preferred method for generating extended properties?
Does anyone know of a good article on the use of Erwin to do this?
Or is there a better alterative(s)?

You can do the same with the Generate scripts action on right-click on the database, filtering the objects and properties you want to script (Advanced).
Have you tried it? I see now that I'm achieving the same from the article with just a couple of clicks in SSMS.
