Not really Adam, just spent this weekend removing plaster from the walls in whats going to be the babies room, so the weekend will bring the better halfs farther round (whos a plasterer) to replaster the walls. Had a bad case of damp so all the plaster had to be removed.
Other than that its the better halfs parents 30th wedding anniversary, so we will be going for a meal on the Saturday, if all goes well with the plastering and its dry, might get to start wallpapering on the Tuesday, but other than that nothing.
What about you?

I would be surpised if the plaster drys inside 3 days, our bathroom took a week!
I'll be staying as far away from London as possible, cant stand that stuff. The problem is, its hyped up so much but at the end of the day its Britain we're talking about so you know its gonna be farsicle. And dont even get me started on the olympics.

2 walls should be ok, they just need skimming so should dry within 2 days, the other two walls will be a different story as they are down to the brick but we shall see.
Yeah I don't blame you for staying away from London. Luckly enough I'm in Bolton so I'm far enough away to not care about the jubilee or the olympics.

the 2 brick ones dot and dab plasterboard then skim will dry quicker than plastering from scratch plus takes no time to do.

Never did understand that. What is 'dot and daba'?

its where you just put bits of glue for example in various places over a surface and then place the top coat over.
so instead of gluing the full piece of paper, only glue the 4 corners and a dot in the middle which is enough to do the job at hand, saves time and resources.

the two walls which need patching and skimming are riddled in damp so needs a damp course doing and then going to put waterproof sand cement on the walls then skim, the cement apparently dries in no time so would only be the skim which needs to dry but as its waterproof cement it might take a while.
