Dear Folks,
While trying to create JOB steps, I am getting the below Error:
"General Access denied error".
I've attached the error screen shot.
While trying to create SQL JOB steps, I am facing the issue to my SQL 2005/2008 server.
I have followed the MS KB article and folllowed the steps, but no luck!!
Please suggest me..

Do you have permissions to create a SQL Server Agent Job ?
Also I don't see any attachment.
Thank You,

Yes, I am able to create the SQL Agent Jobs. But, in the job, while trying to add the steps the error is appearing.
Unable to attach the screen shot here. Facing problem.
Note: Nothing new in the screen shot.
The exact error msg is:
------------------------
=========================
General access denied error
Additonal Information:
--> General access denied error
===========================
If you have faced the similar issue earlier or having idea to rectify the issue, please do put up further effective guidelines!
Thanks.

Hi
I am having this exact issue when trying to create a job or edit a job step when connected to a SQL 2005 instance via SSMS. I am already sysadmin and we have tried changing a few extra things with no luck.
Note: When I connect to a SQL 2000 instance via SSMS where I am also sysadmin I am able to create or edit jobs.
Did you resolve your issue? I would appreciate any help.
Thanks
Nique
