Dears,
i am developing a db application that holds a lot of fax documents. all tif documents. Now I need to implement a full text search function. So I am on the search for a tiff iFilter.
Further we cannot use the MODI. I tryed the iFilter of Captaris/OpenText but it will not work correctly on the sql server 2005. The OS is WIN2k3. The Office 2007 Filter AddOn of Microsoft didn´t privide a tiff iFilter.
Someone got a solution for that problem????????

Don't you need to do some OCR before this is even slightly usable? A TIFF file created from a fax, espcially an incoming fax is just a graphic. Now if the are created by your organization and then stored, it might be a bit different. But I still come back to OCR, TIFF is a graphics format, not a document format.
