I get the below error when i run a query using freetext option.
"Msg 9955, Level 16, State 1, Line 1
SQL server failed to communicate with Full-Text Service (msftesql).
The system administrator must make sure that same service account is
used for both services and the service account has the permission to auto start the full-text service.
"
The sql service and ft service are running under the same account.I have also checked the account is local admin on the server. I do not see any errors in the error log related to FT. Not sure where else to look for. Any ideas?

Please change the Service Accounts for both SQL Server service and FT service using SQL Server Configuration Manager.

Not sure what difference it would make if i do it through services console Vs SAC on stand alone. I would still try changing through SAC and let you know. Thanks

Awesome, this worked like charm. I am just wondering how come this is working on other servers where we have the account changed from services console, only difference i see is in the CU's of sql server. Thanks again.
