The catalog does not exist or is currently unavailable. Please retry the action again later and if this symptom persists, contact the system administrator
This is the error I receive when querying. I attempt to rebuild the catalog and I get an error:
Error 7619 : An unexpected Error occurred.
And the title of the box is Microsoft SQL-DMO (ODBC SQLStats: 42000)
Please help 🙂

There was nothing else to say. I ended up restarting the full text indexing service and its working now?! Weird....

So you just shut down the service and restarted it and everything went back to being fine? Do you have any idea what caused it to start with? Has it happened before?

This has never happened before but it seems to be working properly now. I don't know why this happened or what occured there.

I had something similar. When attempting to populate full text catalogs everything would appear to work - no errors reported. But when I looked in the properties of the catalog the item count was zero. This was for all catalogs on one server. The populations had previously been working for ages. After being puzzled for a while I simply restarted the search service and everything worked again.
