full-text catalogs

    In SQL 2000,

    I have two questions:

    1. Why the new full-text catalogs is disable in EM, you need to go to the server remotely to create new

    full-text ctalogs, is this a bug?

    2. If you disable the builtin\administrators, the full-text catalogs are not working anymore, any ideas?

    Noel,

    Full text search is a service named as Microsoft Search OR MSFTESQL...

    You can go to services console & check what account is used to start the service...

    The Microsoft Search is run by LocalSystem. Do I need to change it?
