I have a database on a non-clustered SQL 2000 server. The full text catalogs are on the D: drive. I need to backup and restore on my clustered SQL 2000 server that has a D: drive that is not part of the cluster. The cluster has an E: drive that the full text catalogs need to be on.
The problem comes when I restore the database. It creates the full text catalogs on the D: drive, or at least that is where they say they are. I cannot move or delete them because SQL tells me that it cannot have FTCs on a non clustered drive. I cannot move them to the new drive becase SQL tells me that I am not enabled for FTC. I cannot enable FTC because SQL tells me that there are catalogs where they cannot be.
I can see the sys table that has the location of the catalogs but cannot edit them.
I am going around in circles
