FTS - Index rebuild causing CPU issues (sql server 2008)

    Hi.....

    Try to rebuild and reorganize the index in off peak hours.

    Check min and max memory settings

    FYI, Chapter 3 of the book is specific to troubleshooting high CPU usage. I just got there 🙂

    you can run the server side trace to capture what queries is taking longer than 500ms to execute. Note the time of the transactions and match it to the Perfmon statistics on disk queue info.

    Check your proc cache and stored proc recompile too.
