Front-End database utility similar too what outlook offers

  Is there someone that have suggestion on a front-end utility that allows to build a quick little app (few forms) with SQL Server?

  We use outlook for now but the DB underneath cannot scale very much but we like the way it allows us to have some forms customized as we want (and quickly).
