Hi guys,
I just made a new setup of SQL Server 2017, SQL Server Management Studio 2017, SS DataTools 2017 and Visual Studio 2017 (so it is like a virgin ;). No I want to try out some stuff. Is there a possibility to save this original state respective to set it back when I manage to 'destroy' this start state by one-click or such?
I use Windows 10.
Thanks and BR,
Dr. Who

I don't know of anything where it is one click and everything is back to how it was before you started.
You may want to look into doing something with cloning or imaging but it's not one click.

Thanks Sue,
Yeah, not exactly "one-click", but easy solution needed. HDD cloning is not best, as other software infused. would like a solution where only MS SS and Visual Studio is concerned.

If it weren't for this "other software," I would suggest a virtual machine with Windows 10 plus the applications you need. Snapshot the VM before you begin making changes, then it would be "one-click" to revert back to the state it was in when you took the snapshot. BUT this would revert *EVERYTHING* in the VM, OS, other applications, etc.
