free sql server 2005 bible

  • Hi,

Thanks for noticing and removing the link. I also forwarded it to my publisher Wiley. They have a full time lawyer who shuts down these illegal sites.

  • Of course, the best way to get the book is buy it at a conference where Paul is giving a lecture, so you get an autographed copy....:P

  • I also agree.

These guys work hard to provide very good book for the IT community. Unless you get it free from the author himself, you are steeling the author. I don't think if you were them, you'd like that.

I bought is book. It's an excellent book to have for a DBA.

    It's relatively cheap up here in Canada. At amazon.ca it's CDN$ 37.79.

So just go and buy it. It's worth it.

As professionnals, we must support our authors, especially good ones like Paul Neilson.

  • Glad to see you supporting the authors. Many of them speak for free, give up time away from family and career, to help others. Books provide some income.

Feel free to forward on these sites to any publisher to shut things down. I'd also say that I'd not support those sites that just link to Amazon without providing value. Plenty of author sites, this site, SQL Team, etc. are there to give you information and you can support us and them by using our links.

  • Wow, thanks for the highly motivating thread. I'm way behind on SQL Server 2008 Bible.

Glad you've liked the books. And suggestions?

Your "SQL 2000 Bible" was darn near life-saving for me when I started out. Made a lot of very complex subjects very easy to understand. (My highliters made certain pages end up looking like a crazy 3-year-old with fingerpaint went berserk in it, and I think I used at least 2 packs of sticky-tabs on it.)

Keep it similar to that, and I'll definitely buy a copy. (Have the 2005 version on my desk right now. I use BOL more often these days, but it does still get used.)
