Fragmentation Of Data & Replication of databases

    Dear All,

    Please Guide me in this regard:-

    Does Defragmentation scripts are required to run on servers engaged in replication?

    or

    Does replication also manages data fragmentation on both servers?

    De-Fragmentation (Database Maintenance scripts in general) must be used in replicas as well as in the primary.

    Thanks Dear,

    Can you please elaborate it further?

    Also at our end we are using the application for replication purpose & SQL server service doesnot run on Secondary server.

    Now, at time of crisis, when ever switch over to secondary server happens database responds very slow. Time Outs problem increases.

    Is there is any way by which the data at secondary server can be remain intact & defragmented as in Primary server?
