Hopefully you are using a current version of VFP data. I have tried with a database created with vfp6 and found too much incapability. The Field types were wrongly chosen by the SQL 2000 utility, so have vfp data structure ready for every file. There were dates that worked in vfp that broke thou SQL Server link. I have VFP9 now, but have not updated my Database yet. I do not have your answer to help you; I only know what did not work for me. The VFP 9 database was changed to be more SQL compatible.
