When I setup a snapshot replication then for every article I found four files in the default snapshot folder: C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL10.MSSQLSERVER\MSSQL\ReplData\unc\LuckyPC_ADVENTUREWORKSDW_SNAPSHOTTEST\20090915164524. Can anyone tell me why does this create four files for every article?

A list of the files would have helped to provide a definitive answer to the question. Are they possibly:-
*.SCH - table definition
*.DRI - definition of the indexes and constraints
*.TRG - table triggers
*.BCP - the actual data

Thanks.
Can you tell me what is the correct way of reinitialization? I set up snapshot replication. Now I had to drop one artilce from replication. But even after reinitialization from publication, the object still shows that there in the subscription database.
I went ahead and dropped the particular files for that article from the snapshot folder but this didn't work out? I restarted the snapshot job also. Is anything I am missing?
