I know there is the career section and it has Job Postings but it might be helpfull to have a nned work done or contract type board where users who need a task done for them and want to outsource. I know there are a lot of issues with regards to payment not being made, made but work was crap and things like that but I think might offer some extra opportunities with the understanding the site makes the info available but contractal agreements are between the parties involved or something to cover yourselves and keep you out of the issue.

Not bad. Or how about a directory of those interested/available for contract work? Or both?

That would be good also. Maybe a flag on our profile to mark us as available.

Putting the forum up is no problem, not too hard to add a flag to profile either, then just a matter of providing a browse/search capability. Maybe forum not the right place? Something a little more structured? Task desc, start/end date, location, etc?

Also you could include a section where people can leave feedback on the work completed. Like the feedback on eBay.
Thanks

http://www.rentacoder.com works great. money is sent to a 3rd party escrow account. Lots of projects go through there

I have done rentacoder, there is too much undercutting and not enough quality going on there. Many, many bid requests and guidlines there are extrememly unreasonable as well.
I am talking more consulting or figuring those hard to get problems. Plus it would be more of a I am interested in side work type situation.
On top of that this site is dedicated to SQL Server, rentacoder is not and the potential quality of work done here in the SQL related field is much higher.

We're interested. If it targets the community, we're always willing to look at it. We (Steve, Brian, I) have a conf call coming up to review where we stand on a few things, I'll add this to the agenda. If anyone else has comments, concerns, please continue to post.
