forgot password of Backup file..........:(

    hi,

    I took a full DB backup to my D:\ drive,for a security purpose I gave password while taking backup

    (BACKUP DATABASE xyz TO DISK='d:\xyz.bak' with password='xxxxxx')

    but unfortunately i forgot that password.To restore that DB through T-SQL I need that Password but...? Now I want to restore that DB...How it is possible to restore Pl guide me friends.......

    Try to recall all possible password because there is no other way in sql to find out the passord.. else contact some third party tool to recover the pswd.
