Forgot local server password

    I installed SQ2008R2.

    From management studio, I can link to another servers but can not connect to local server.

    I tried to use Window authentication to connect it but no luck.

    How to fix it?

    if you can connect as an admin, just reset the password;

    otherwise, you have to restart the service in admin mode and follow the steps here:
