Update, I'm trying a Dell 7450. It's one of our corporate options and I'm not looking for an exception if this works. It will be an Intel 7, 32GB RAM, 512SSD, but I haven't used 512 on my current one 😉
I think Dell's a good make too and RAM is the most important thing to have lots of I think, especially if you want to run lots of VMs and with storage in the cloud and VMs using auto expanding disks you can hopefully pack a lot into a disk that size.
