At this point it seems the two of you are putting in far more effort on this than the OP. π

Yes, it is! I'm a newbie in SQL Server, that's why this problem (the topi? of the original post) is interesting to me, that's why I've spend so much time to write in this topic (hours). π

Well I have to thank you both for the results and time spent.
The story with this tables and database is: I work for a company who uses some ERP software that is written in FoxPro and uses SQL in the back end.
The software has a module to write reports but it is limited. I bought a copy of SQL with reporting services so we can start creating reports here.
I asked the ERP software for some help to understand the naming of the tables and the relation of them to one to another and I got nothing!!!
I discovered inside the ERP software the name of the tables that are used for each screen of data input plus running queries to find out the corresponding tables.
I am not sure if I would be able to explain the relationship of the zzxpgrpr and the zzxpgtyr but it will make more sense if you see the attached excel sheet at the beginning of the post. There is a screen shoot of the actual style reference window. Any given style may have a combinations of 8 different group codes. Each group code is described in the zzxpgtyr table and it is called Merchandise group.
I can tell you both the the work is done. You both have delivered more than enough and I thank you both for that. So let's save some efforts for more questions to come.

I can tell you the the work is done.
Do you mean you achieved the following?

DESIRED resultsSTYLE LBL DIV
2204852 GOSSIP JUNIOR
Did suggested scripts do the desired work? Or you're still getting the following?
reliableitservice (6/13/2012)
still getting multiple results (9 actually).

SSC = SQL Server Central.
The next piece is just silliness.

Congratulation Anatoly!!!!!!
Yes, you were able to achieve what I was looking for.
The little detailed note about the "Division" was overlooked until you pointed it out. I sort of figured it out, that is why I send the extra data.
I was also able to integrate the script into my existing one where I have more tables in it.
You guys are awesome!!!!
