One of the reason i currently use excel for my reporting front end is that it allows multiple values as filtes on the pivot table, is this functionality in reporting services we do have crystal and it only allows one filter for a report...which is not much use. I'd like to know if its possible to have more that one filter on the report.

Yes... SSRS 2005 allows multi-value parameters for your OLAP based reports (now has a nice date picker also).
Excel is still better when it comes to slicing and dicing data sets, but I still prefer SSRS myself... just have to build a lot of drill down functionality into each report.
