I have sql 2000 which has tables with fill factors put on these.
When i do backup and restore the SQL 2005 the table is missing the fill factor and been set to zero.
Do i have to manually go back to the tables that i put fill factor on and add these.
Thanks

are all of the fill factors the same? If so just set the default to that value.

that does seem a bit strange - after restoring your 2000 database are you then setting compat to 9.0.
Do you have an index maint plan which changes these or is this just after restore.

Strange indeed.
Can find any traces of fillfactor if you script the db at sql2005 side ?
Which fillfactor did you specify ?
If it was the default value (80), maybe that's the reason why sql2005 just presents it in a diffenrent way.

I found it, i had to drop all the indexes before i did a major conversion of the database, then recreated the indexes but did not put back the fill factor.
Thanks

Thanks for the feedback.
I'm glad you've found the reason.
