What's your favorite SQL Server magazine? Are there even more than one of them? _SQL Server Magazine_ seems to be king of the hill.

SQL Server Central Newsletter! OK, ok, I know, I know, print media, right? I like SQL Server Magazine but I also like SQL Server Professional from Pinnacle. I'm debating on the subscription cost at the moment.

Not necessarily print media. I have an article or two I want to publish.

You can do it here and keep copyright. We just want an exlcusive for a few months.
SQL Server Mag takes copyright and it takes some time to get published. They have an Ed caliendar on their site somehwere.
Not sure about SQL Server Pro.

Is that the SQL Server Central Newsletter Brian was talking about?
You might want the exclusive for a few months, but the truth is that no software mag I know of wants to reprint something someone else printed first.
I've written for Pinnacle before, for Oracle and FoxPro, and have been satisfied. I did a search and somehow missed their SQL Server offering.

The SQL Server Central Newsletter is the newsletter for this site. Any articles that are published here are usually found in one of the two newsletters that go out weekly.
I usually scan through them when the newsletters go out. It's been a while since I've had time to write a short article (AD migration at work is my focus at the moment) but I'm thankful for the chance to write here that Brian, Steve, and Andy have given me.

Also, besides here which allows you to retain the copyright there are a handfull of other sites. The most popular site I can think of other than here is http://www.sql-server-performance.com and they too allow you to keep the copyright. Note: you won't get rich thru any of them anyway, especially the print media.

I prefer reading the newsletter from SQL Server Central. It is the most organized of all the online newsletters for SQL Server that I have seen and almost every one has an article that I read. I recently won a subscription to SQL Server Magazine in a competition here. It has just started coming and I am just now beginning to read it.
My guess is you would get paid more to publish with SQL Server Magazine, but you might get more exposure by publishing here at SQL Server Central.

I only subscribe to one. SQL Server Professional from Pinnacle. It's a good read. Lots of information in there. Aside from that I am subscribed to newsletters which contain lots of good information & links etc...SQLServerCentral.com being the best of these...of course!!
