Fatal Error when Installing SQL Server 2005 - Develooper Edition

    I receive the following error trying to install SQL Server 20005 Developer Edition:

    "The setup has encountered an unexpected error while WizardFirst.  The error is:Fatal error during installation".

     

    In the Log file

    It had:  Error:  MsiOpenDatabase failed with 110

    Also had Error Code:  0X80070643 (1603)

    Any ideas?

    Curious, are you trying to install it on a fresh clean machine or a machine that already contains SQL Server?

    On a machine that has SQL Server 2000 on it.

    Do you think it is trying to upgrade the current 2000 dbs on that PC?
