Fatal Error during install

    I get the following errors when I install either SQL Server 2005

    "The setup has encountered an unexpected error while Setting Internal Properties. The error is :Fatal error during installaion."

    I received the same error 'while Setting SQL Server Database Services'

    I have uninstalled all SQL stuff and reinstalled and get the same errors.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks, the fatal error message is gone, but the install still doesn't work. I haven't tried to fix the new problem yet, so I may be back. Thanks again for getting me by that problem.

    No problem...

    If you are still having problems repost with as much detail as possible including install log error's and someone within the community should be able to help/advise.
