  • Sweet, our 16th. We have a full league now!

I haven't set the draft date yet, will let you know when I set up the league. Yahoo seems to be the group consensus to run the league.

I'd like to put out some guidelines:

    1. Obviously you're interested, please be active. 'Active' really only means set your line up each week, as there are 'bye' weeks, injuries and such. It's going to take a small amount of effort, but will require some effort to play.

    2. As league commish, I'll have final say on trades (probably after consulting with the group). This just keeps any 'unfair' trades from occurring (e.g. I can't trade all my good players to Steve for his junk players and split the $50 gc :-P)

    3. If you know each other IRL, please do not make trades outside of the league, i.e. "I'll buy you lunch if you trade me your QB" (see guideline 2).

    4. There won't be any trading the last two weeks of the season, as a team that's out of the running could trade good players to help a team that's still in contention.

    5. Have fun!

Aw, man! There goes my strategy! 😛

  • Do you have any room for one more?

  • damian, looks like you just missed the cut. But, the season is still a few weeks away, if we continue to get interest someone can probably start a second league.

  • The league is created, I tried to send each of you a private message with the details. Post if you didn't get the message, I'll re-send.

  • Doesn't look like I got it, just sent you a PM as well.

  • Here's some details about the league:

15 man total roster, you can start:

    1 QB

    3 WR

    2 RB

    1 TE

    1 K

    1 DEF

The last week of trades is Dec 3rd (was the last date I could pick), so make sure to wrap up your teams before then. No restrictions on amount of trades and adds/drops; again, I have the last call on all trades.

I went with fractional points, for giggles. No minus points for interceptions/fumbles, and all FGs are worth the same. The draft date is the Sunday before the first game, which is Thursday, September 9th. THIS IS IMPORTANT, 'cuz the season starts on a Thursday, as opposed to a traditional Sunday, so make sure your starters are set by then.

This should be fun, I'm looking forward to some good trash talkin' and fun competition.

  • Can you post the league ID? Yahoo doesn't let you search by league name, just league ID. I gave up looking at scrolling through 10 pages of leagues.

  • Ok, I'm in!

BTW, any chance of moving the draft? I've got a conflict at that day/time. Could probably do later that evening, or the next day.

  • Asking for a pwd for the league as well. Or is this a public league?

  • Pwd should have been PM'd to you, Steve. Maybe check the Inbox?

    BTW - I'm in!

    Thanks for setting it up.

  • I'm in, got the pwd from Simon and team in the league.

I'll likely auto-draft as I'm busy too many nights, but if I can join in, I will.

  • It's going to be impossible to get a draft date everyone can make. That being said, the weekends seemed to be the group consensus. Funny though, because I'm busy on that Sunday, also. Monday is Labor Day, any objections from the group to make the draft on Monday evening, September 4th?
